We value the diverse natural resources in a way that minimizes impact on the natural environment while maximizing people’s enjoyment and appreciation of those natural wonders. Consequently, the Lodge is entirely powered by solar, our structures are built in harmony with natural surroundings and take advantage of material properties and structure to provide a natural breeze and air. Our approach has limited the impact on wildlife, and because of this they regularly visit us. You will find hippos, elephants, monkeys, antelopes, warthogs, and number of birds moving around the camp. Be prepared to experience an up-close, personal and safe encounter with wildlife.
Supporting Malawian Communities
We value the wonderful people of Malawi. We strive to support the communities around Kutchire Lodge by hiring native Malawians and creating opportunities for guests to interact with our neighbors. We have established community development projects in the surrounding area with the full participation of the local population.
